We are incredibly pleased having received stock of solar lanterns with the grant from Atlantic Philanthropies which was directed towards our project ''Let There Be Light Bulenga''
100 solar lanterns were ordered and have been delivered to KACCAD's office.These include large solar lanterns with cell phone charging capacity which are to benefit vulnerable persons,the elderly,people with disabilities,widows and Orphans enabling them generate income by charging other people's phones.Due to the fact that hydro power is not reliable and accessible by the majority of the populace,this solar project intends to boost these underprivileged person's income and at the same time offer an alternative reliable,clean,safe and a renewable source of light at night.
Also the stock includes small solar lanterns which are to be distributed to schools,health centres and the churches. Many thanks to Atlantic Philanthropies.
